Simon is one of the many cast of character animals that we have come to see and sometimes know on our neighborhood walks   Simon is certainly one of the most notable ones!!! 🦊❤️

I love simple scenes. They have a serenity that opens up the mind.  🦊❤️

is not what’s hung on the walls

Yesterday we visited the “open studio day” of a couple of our friends.  We enjoyed perusing all of the artist’s studios and looking at their work. But as is the case in so many of our adventures, we found ourselves being most fascinated not by the “art” but rather “box” that the art was contained in. Just like kids playing with the cardboard box that a toy was packaged in.  🦊❤️

As we made our slow way along the trail, I became aware of the many signs of  the “turf wars”that are being waged by weeds, trees, insects, animals, water and of course people. Is all of life hardwired for conflict? 🦊❤️

The landscape under our feet is constantly changing day by day.  Some changes occur slowly… some very quickly.  🦊❤️

I was totally impressed with a waitresses ability to tote and balance a tray laden with over 10 large glasses of beverages. My wrist ached and my shoulder throbbed as   I imagined performing the same feat.  I also visualized cleaning up the mess on the floor after attempting it. 🦊❤️

When I saw this American Oystercatcher strolling lazily across the sand I immediately thought of the old Jimmy Durante TV show from long, long ago.  This post will date me and anyone else who knows what this post is all about! Do you know what I’m talking about in the post??  🦊❤️
