a penny frozen in time
like ice age fossils 🦊❤️
When I spotted a penny captured in a flow of tar on a parking lot, my first impulse was to pry it loose. Then I thought about the Le Breau Tar Pits near Los Angeles. There, entrapped in the tar are fossils of the Ice Age like Saber Toothed Tigers and Wholly Mammoths. Since pennies are no longer being minted, I decided to let it be in its grave of tar for future generations to find. 🦊❤️
